Second beer I have had this session with an "old sneakers and socks" aroma. Rich and deep amber with a quickly diminishing head. Flavor is a bit tobacco-tinged int he fore followed by ample malts, but nothing pulls anything together.

Nov 19, 2005 brewwtopia 11-12-05. Poured amber with huge fluffy and foamy head, could be the person who poured? Nose was malts, some wood and earth notes. Taste was nowhere as good as the nose. Skip this.

Nov 17, 2005 Pours ruby with a 2-finger, off-white head. Aroma of malt, cabernet, cherries, some brown sugar. The flavor is roasty malty, with some fruit, hops, brown sugar, and dark chocolate at the finish.

Nov 11, 2005 Bottle. The aroma of malts and caramel is better than the flavor to me which consists of a smooth mix of ingredients which doesn’t go over the top. It doesn’t seem to have an aftertaste of any magnitude. The roasted sweetness laden in this beer is slight. It needs amplification.

Oct 7, 2005 12 oz bottle-pours a thick lacing light tan head with a clear dark amber color. Aroma is hoppy followed by malt. Taste is slightly bitter, hops, dark deep roasted malt.

Sep 16, 2005 Appears a dark red amber with a creamy 1 finger ivory head that lasts. Heavy streaks of lace are painted on the inside of the glass.
Smell is grainy malts with caramel and crystal malt, along with a light amount of hops.
Taste about the same as the aroma descriptions with a mildly sweet taste.
Mouthfeel is gritty and full bodied with a semi sweetness balancing out a mild bitterness.

Sep 5, 2005 On tap at Mount Snow Fest. Deep red amber in color with a little head. Hoppy and malty aroma. Fresh hops. Citrusy. Malty and hoppy flavor. Very citrusy. Floral notes. Ok beer.
