Commercial Description:
We brewed this one because we just can’t get enough of those hops. IPA’s seem to be a great choice any time of the year. They have a great malt flavor and hop profile, just what a beer connoisseur is looking for. We decided to give this one a bit more hops. Try this with a strong cheese like a very sharp cheddar, cloth bound, aged if you can find one.

Pours a deep slight hazed copper/amber with a foaming off whtie head. Aroma is grassy, herbal, ok citrus hops- a bit stale, not quite that powerful- some orange zest, and caramel malts in the backbone. Flavor is also grassy, citrus, herbal, moderate crystal malts- caramel and toffee sweetness, and a grassy slightly astringent finish.

22oz - Generously shared by Brian from the Wine Source. Thanks! Chill haze copper, thin off white head. Soft citric and flroal pine-like aromas ride a light caramel toast foundation. Clean tropical pine and citirc bitterness rounds with hints of peached molasses. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, soft bitter finish. Not world class, but certainly tasty...

Pours a four finger dark cream head that fades slowly leaving a very good lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Grapefruit nose. Flavor is grapefruit and a little sweetness from the malt, some lingering bitter aftertaste. Needs more malt for a double IPA. $3.99 for a 22oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

(Rating #2627)

Dark copper pour with a hint of tangerine throughout. Big meringue head that diminishes to an 1/8 inch ring but leaves tons of lacing on the inside of the glass. Aroma is candied orange, caramel, and toffee. All of the hops have gone home for the summer. Not sure if this is intended or just an old bottle. Medium mouthfeel if not a bit syrupy.

Draft at DRE. Pours hazy orangy copper with off-white head. Nose is resiny hops, grapefruit, tangerine. Tastes very hoppy and citric with a solid caramel malt backbone. medium palate heft, decent complexity, with a good deal of tangerine and pineapple and grapefruit in the flavor.

Pours copper with a large white head. Smells of resiny hops, some earthy hints. Tastes perfumy and resiny with a sticky bitter finish.
