Commercial Description:
We felt that lagers are being left out of the new revolution, so try this one! This spring, break out a bottle or three on that first sunny warm spring day when you get that itch. Make sure to grill some bratwurst and heck throw on some sauerkraut for good measure. Use a good fresh Portuguese roll and warm it on the grill as well. Serve with a green tomato pickle and wedges of goat cheese. The lager should be chilled in the snow of course!

Pours a nice reddish gold color with a foamy white head. Aroma of malt, hops. Flavor is malt, hops, citrus, caramel. Decent bock.

(Bottle). Strange brew, sort of a hybrid mild IPA and bock. Clean malty aroma. Orange-amber body, little head. Hops dominate the flavor profile, tilting much more toward bitterness than sweetness. Not sure it all hangs together too well, but it’s still rather a pleasant effort.

Bottle from my trip to Vermont in Aug. Pours a nice amber color with a very light tan head. Aroma is very sweet with notes of toffee, sweet malt and some cane syrup. Flavor is pretty sticky wtih a pretty small hop bite. Not overly impressed, but it is certainly drinakble.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a nice off white head with good glass retention. The aroma is sweet maltiness. The taste is bock like with honey and hoppy bite. The palate is refreshing with a bit of a bite.

Much better than a 42%...Brownish Tangerine cloudy hue with creamy egg shell head, sweet malted barley odor, light molassas and grain, 8% alcohol is well hidden, nice flavor, low fruit/hop, very drinkable.

Picked up a bottle in Central Joisey for under four bucks. Stong alcohol dominates over the bitterness. Reminds me of a Euro Lager which does not make Hell’s Bock flavor unique.

22 oz bottle thanks to drewbeerme for this sample. Pours clear orange with a fluffy white head. Grainy malts in the nose with citrus and yeast. Grains and citrus flavors are lightly sweet with so much of that tanic grainy notes and a hop fiinish of faded hops. This beer is EXTREME! Extremely bad.
