Commercial Description:
"INFUSCO" was inspired by a unique yeast's ability to gently weave character and flavor into the beers it ferments. A sweet body balanced with a big alcohol warmth and a touch of hops. Lingering rich flavors add to the complexity. Try aging this one for a year or two at cellar temperatures and compare the flavors that will emerge. For a "SLOW" experience pair this with smoked cheese, baked whole grain crackers, blackened peppercorn rib eye steaks, rich dark chocolate, hazelnut crepes or a fresh dark wrapped maduro cigar.

22oz bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a cherry cola color; light tan head with excellent fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of cola, mint, and anise in the aroma; very odd but pleasant cola-driven nose. Medium mouthfeel: cola, spearmint, and brown sugar; pretty well-carbonated; interesting, cola and brown sugar dominated, spiced beer. Odd stuff. Lengthy finish: cola, cloves, and brown sugar; some lingering sweetness.

Dark cola brown colored body with a small tan head. Toothpaste/spearmint/anise/candy sugar nose, very strange smell overall, with a maple/caramel note mixed in as well. Flavor is surprisingly different, the spearmint is very dampened, the body is full, frothy and thick, and it tastes more of chewy bread crust, bran and toasted malt, with a little cola sweetness at the end (and the flavor of rosemary and sweet licorice in the prolonged finish). Weird stuff, but interesting.

Courtesy of argo0. Mostly clear brown body with a small tan head. The nose is very strange, licorice, mint, lavender and toffee. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly tart and lightly bitter. The taste is fresh mint and basil, anise, cola, dark fruits and dough. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation. Interesting to say the least.

Tasting at JoeMcphee’s. This beer was all over the place. Smoke, pepper. I suppose the spice, smoke aroma could be described as the best part.. That isn’t saying much.

Bottle at JoeMcphee’s. Pours dark brown body with a tan head. Aroma is birch tree, root beer, ginger and cinnamon. Flavor is smoky sweet ginger spice. Not a great blend. ITs smooth like birch beer and tangy the plus is its 8%.

Bottle: Brown pour with a bubbly off white head. Strong anisette presence in the nose. Spicy licorice and a touch of chocolate. Creamy feel with a nice chocolate malt taste and lots of anise spiciness. A bit underrated in my opinion.
