Commercial Description:
"INFUSCO" was inspired by a unique yeast's ability to gently weave character and flavor into the beers it ferments. A sweet body balanced with a big alcohol warmth and a touch of hops. Lingering rich flavors add to the complexity. Try aging this one for a year or two at cellar temperatures and compare the flavors that will emerge. For a "SLOW" experience pair this with smoked cheese, baked whole grain crackers, blackened peppercorn rib eye steaks, rich dark chocolate, hazelnut crepes or a fresh dark wrapped maduro cigar.

This is a smoked beer with lots of sweetness. An experiment that while is drinkable, does not add up as something to have again. Some colour in body. I do not get this as a Belg, and did not observe any compexity when paired with food. Light mouthfeel.

bomber provided by pforei... very dark brown pour with a thin quickly disappearing light tan head. the aroma reminds me of sonoran 100 but in a bad unsuspecting way... smoke, molasses, black licorice and cloves. the palate has a strange sourness to it?... licorice, molasses, black olives, smoke and an out of place banana aftertaste...wtf? this really reminds me of that generic version of jagermeister. but personally, i like my beer with shots ON THE SIDE... eeww.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark blackish brown with a thin white clingy head. Aroma of spices, wheat, licorice and molasses. Flavors of anise, spice and sugar. Too bubbly and thick on the palate.

22 oz bomber purchased at Spirits RB. Not sure I can explain how bad this one is but I will try. Pours a dark brown/blackish with an average size beige frothy head. Aroma is all over the place with scents from black olives and vinegar to yeast and bread. Thin bodied with light carbonation and a watery feel. Flavor of olive water, yeast, bread and vinegar yum. Wow is this beer bad!!

Pours dark mahogany, almost entirely opaque with barely a trace of chestnut edging. A beige head of moderate ambition rose to a quarter inch before falling to a skim coat of 100%. Some minor lacework of dots and lines testified. Aromatics blast off with a big hit of black licorice and anise. Clove-infused black molasses are midway in the nose, followed by dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy and somewhat velvety. Pallet is laden with spice-spiked roasted malts and semi-sweet chocolate. Warming and slightly acrid. A balancing bitterness works well with some residual brown sugar notes. Finishes with some spicy heat on the back of the throat. A bit heavy-handed on the spicing, and certainly leaning in the direction of a robust porter, with a belgian slant. Maybe a year or two in the cellar would be a good idea.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with a small, off-white head. Smell: Smokey, close to meaty aroma with thrown together notes of plums, bubblegum, bitter herbs, and maybe even some caramel buried under there. Taste: Caramel maltiness with a dose of a bitter digestif along the lines of Jägermeister. Plum fruitiness. Smoke-flavored bubblegum. Spicy yeastiness. Tart, acidic finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Oh man, what a mess. Just for the record, I did not enjoy this beer as none of the flavors meshed well at all.

22 oz bottle. Very dark brown in color with a medium to large tan head. Aroma was very weird- licorice, cinnamon, smoke, dark malts and somewhat yeasty. Taste is light to moderately sweet with caramel, light chocolate, quickly fading into belgian yeast, as well as smoked malts. Medium bodied. Pretty strange.

Not really my taste. Didn’t sit well on my tongue. Some dirty socks and smoked malts. Some bitterness but is wierd. I did enjoy it as far as Rock Art goes because I have not been pleased with their brews so far.
