Bottle. Pours a cloudy iced tea amber with a one finger light tan head and decent lacing. Nose is sweet caramel malt and citrus hops. Taste is earthy hops, caramel malt and tart yellow grapefruit with a sweet citrus finish. Medium mouth feel. Decent DIPA.

Slightly hazy deep amber pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt and grapefruity and floral hops. Lots of sweet malt in the flavor as well, with the grapefruit coming through on the dry, not so bitter finish. Smooth and highly drinkable, but not really what I was expecting from a DIPA.

Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry and biegaman -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a really hazy orange-amber with an average size frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt -- it’s quite malt forward -- with hops in the back. Flavour: This is a DIPA?! This is 8%!? Did they bottle the wrong beer? A lot of my favourite IPAs are hoppier and ’bigger’ then this. it’s not bad, but it tastes more like a regular IPA with a somewhat long bitter finish. Again, if this were an IPA I’d say this was pretty good for a DIPA: FAIL.

pours coppery amber with a small creamy off white cap. big time floral hoppy aroma... i’m talking straight sweet flowers mixed with honey, some orange zest/maybe grapefruit and a distinct cooked canned pineapple smell. the palate is malty sweet... flavors of caramely grains, citrus and the aroma characteristics. it’s in no way bitter (but the hops are definitely there) but it’s got a surprisingly dry finish with some leafy hop aftertaste. the medium body is quite creamy and luckily not sticky. which, makes for an easy drinker.

Copper color with tiny bubbles and a fluffy off-white head. Strong citrus hop aroma over a firm roasted malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Strong roasted malt flavor with citrus and pine hop. Seems slightly ashy. At 90 IBU it’s bitter, but it isn’t very harsh. Just totally dominates the mouth. Clean, hoppy finish.

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy and biegaman, via trade with glouglouburb. Murky amber pour, large fizzy off-white head. Floral/herbal aroma, orange zest and white glue - interesting. Taste is pretty mild - slight resin and pine bitteness, papery malt - 90 IBUs? not a fucking chance - pleasant and leafy, but not bitter at all. Slightly astringent, weakly carbonated body - ehhh. not bad.

Pours a one finger cream head that fades quickly to a ring, leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight grapefruit nose. Flavor is grapefruit. Lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Higher ABV is hidden. 90 IBUs is too much for me. There are better double IPAs like Stoudt’s or Speakeasy’s Double IPA. $3.49 for a 22oz bottle from Cabot Quechee Store Quechee, VT.

Bomber. Aroma of pine and sweet malt. Hazy copper body with good off white head and good lacing left on pint glass. Sweet sugary malt with some citrus and mediun bitter. Sweet dry citrus on the palate just didn’t have that ahhh factor for me, to say man this was good.
