Commercial Description:
"Ah taste and smell the hops!" A hoppy ale that is mildly bitter. Brewed with the finest pale malt available and a touch of flaked barley. Cascade hops are used to make a hop tea that is added directly to the brite tank for a Rock Art twist on an age old favorite. (SUMMER SEASONAL) Now available in 22 oz. bottles!

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours dark amber with an off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and sweet malt. Flavor is bitter, citrus, and caramel.

Smells very hoppy but I’ve tasted many beers hoppier than this. Overall though, not a bad IPA. Nice amber color to it. Also, it has a bit of an alcohol kick at the end of each mouthful, which is odd for a 5%er.

Pours copper with a thin hite head. You can smell a faint hint of citrus and grass and taste the traces of hops, but this one is watery and bland.

Pours hazt dark straw with a lot of carbonation and tiny floaties. Aroma of resiny hops, bready malt, and some cobwebby esters. The taste was hoppy, with some citrus and bready malt. Medium palate that gets hoppier as it warms. Lacking in balance and complexity.

I don’t know what to make of this beer. The ingredients seem to clash and balance doesn’t seem to form in the taste or the aroma. The bitterness I normally associate with an IPA is contradicted by a relatively harmless palatte which only seeps out some grassy hops in a sea of water. There is some carbonation present so the mouthfeel is a plus but taste loses and smoothness wins.

After the BW I think I was expecting a little much from this. Thin, low carbonation, resiny and lemony hops, little malt backing, no complexity, just a mess and hard to finish.

Pale yelow clear body with thin dissipating head. Strong aroma of floral hops and dish soap with light lemon. Thin flavor of lemon and marigold. Thin watery palate. Nearly skunk finish.
