Overall though, not a bad IPA. Nice amber color to it. Also, it has a bit of an alcohol kick at the end of each mouthful, which is odd for a 5%er. joeycapps (1466), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2002 Golden copper w/ decent lace. Not overly fragrant but floral & hop hints. Medium-thin body. Malty & fruity (grapefruit), with dry, bitter, musty? finish.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Thick, pillowy head on an extremely light, tawny body that leaves cirrus tracings--explosive, effervescent, like dragon’s breath.... what to make of this? Active and aggressive... Hops, yes: light and fragrant, and pleasing... FLAT as an IPA gets (and the rest of the sampler is fine), with straw and some fruitiness exist in the beguiling body... light and soft on the tongue--very unassuming, almost retreating in its presence--and that is not a compliment...overall, an average appreciation of the style--drinkable without the fanfare of spruce trees or crunchiness at every sip... not bad... bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2009 I am shocked at how low this beer scored. I thought it was pretty good. Its appearance is great. Nice deep amber hue with a tall off white head. Piney hops and a mild finish. This beer is well balanced with a lighter hops flavor than I usually look for in an IPA but it was still a good drinking beer. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2006 Pours a light gold with a generous white head.
Light malt accompanied by some lightly perfumed hops. Fruity.
Slightly sweet with some underlying bitterness as it moves towards the finish. A bit of cardboard. Needs more malt and hop complexity with just a touch more body.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2005 Pours hazt dark straw with a lot of carbonation and tiny floaties. Aroma of resiny hops, bready malt, and some cobwebby esters. The taste was hoppy, with some citrus and bready malt. Medium palate that gets hoppier as it warms. Lacking in balance and complexity.
