Hoppy nose--fresh hops. Huge fluffy head. High hop infusion with a big sweet hop taste dominates other flavors, like a faint citrus/grapefruit note and some caramel. This has little to do with a traditional ESB and is more like an over-the-top PA from the west coast. Good brew though.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of resiny and grapefruit hops and caramel and toffee malts. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized white head that lasted. Hazy. Not sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor was quite bitter. Tasted of alcohol, pine & resin hops, caramel malt, and a little grapefruit. Medium body. Sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Well balanced.

Hops hops hops, all day long, hops hops hops while I sing this song... or drink this beer. So Rock Art finally made a beer that isn’t total crap. Well it may be total crap but one wouldn’t know because you can’t taste anything but a hop load of hops. I mean its cool enough with a strong aroma of bitter tangerine peel and fresh air leafiness. My 22oz bomber pours a light very muddy orange color with a small but strong head. Taste is bitter bitter hops of grapefruit. Basically, think of the peel of a yellow grapefruit and hats the taste. A medium-light body and a long bitter aftertaste. Rock Art bills this as an ESB cubed but this is really a DIPA.

Poured a orange amber with reddish hues and a slim, off white, lacing head. Smells very good, citrus, pine, candy, light fruits, slight perfume. Taste was very pleasant with more of the same with more malt, heavy citrus. Finish starts sweet which takes an edge off a lingering bitterness.

Golden with white head. Nice aroma and taste of apricots, pineapple, caramel and pithy hop bitterness into the finish. More an IPA than an esb, but there is some english yeast character. $3/12oz

22 oz. bomber. Pours a hazy antique gold with a moderate yellow-white head that left decent lacing down the side of the glass. Nice bright aroma of orange with some floral undertones. The flavor was grapefruit with some light pine supported by a light malt backbone. Bitter finish, but not acrid by any means. The alcohol at 8% was very well hidden. If i were blindfolded, I would have thought this more of an IPA. By far the best offering from Rock Art I have sampled thus far.

22 oz bottle. Pale amber beer with a thick white head. Aroma is quite hoppy. Orange peel and soft earthy notes over a lovely herbal aroma. Fairly complex aroma that evolves quite a bit as the beer warms. Changes from light citrus to an intensely aromatic noble character. Good balance of lean crackery malts that counter the crisp minerally bitterness. A beer that is completely unlike any other I’ve had. If I was trying to brew an imperial German pilsner… it would probably end up tasting like this. Highly drinkable
