| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2009 About a 1 inch thick head of varying sized bubbles. Reduces to a rocky cratered top. Light carbonation. Lightly fruity and hoppy aroma. A bit of peaches, caramel malts, some dried flowers and as blankboy stated "tropical fruit". Color is a dirty looking orange. Pretty bitter flavor. Lots of peanuts and peanut skins, caramel malts, dry tea leaves and a bit of harsh roastyness. Not too bad and has a plethora of flavors in there. Bit thinner in body than I expected. Finishes bitter and tea like with some lingering pasty dry bitterness. A decent brew but only if you really like hops and bitterness. puboflyons (611), New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 1/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2009 From the 1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle with a sticker on the bottom marked Dec. ’08. I am not sure if that’s an expiration date or a brew date. I sampled it in Feb. 09. This pours a cloudy amber with floating chunks of sediment and an off-white head. It has that ’fresh craft brew’ aroma to it with pungent floral hops and yeast. Medium-chewy mouthfeel. The flavor is as hoppy as an IPA but also sour, tart, and citrusy. It reminded me more of an IPA than an ESB so in that regard it was a disappointment. But if you are a fan of hops you would enjoy this one. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with an average size somewhat-lasting off-white head. Nice aroma with lots of resiny hops along with caramel malt and some tropical fruit. Flavour of caramel malt, tropical fruit, resiny hops and lots of booze -- the alcohol’s definitely noticeable -- but it’s still very good. Average to medium bodied. Interesting, and better then expected, we all quite enjoyed it. Swolf3 (253), Elkton, Maryland, USA

Taste was bitter as hell, right up my alley. The tomahawk and mag hops were awesome in this beer. Light in texture, awesome beer! garthicus (1307), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2009 HogTownHarrys bottle - shared with Blankboy and Harry. Colour: Nice hazy orange with a decent cream head. Aroma: Grapefruit and cherry, slightly caramel. There’s citrus and indeed malt. Flavour: Citrus, malt, almost like an ESB/IPA hybrid. Some alcohol in the flavour however not off putting. Very decent ASA. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Updated: Jan 18, 2009Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, my bottle via trade with glouglouburp. Hazy light amber, solid fluffy off-white lasting head. Lush, juicy sweet malt aroma, leaf and citrus bitterness - like an ASA and an ESB mashed-up. Taste follows - a little booziness creeps in, but the malt and leafy bitterness stay in balance - damn this is good! Average body, astringent, nice and lively, not terribly long-finishing, but refreshing and more-ish. riversideAK (2745), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Bottle from hellbilly. Thanks Joshua! You were right man, this stuff is delicious. A hop heads delight. The aroma is super fruity, hints of caramel malt, pine, grapefruit, wood, earth. Basically a shit ton of hops in this one with a nice underlying caramel sweetness. Pours a hazy orange brown with a huge big bubbled foamy head. Some caramel malts start out, not sweet, but a nice caramel base. Followed by this are an insane hop base that consists of citrus and pine. This moves into a ton of earth and wood which then lingers on the palate for a while. Almost tastes fresh hopped I would think due to the earthy leafiness. It does have balance, just the right amount. Love the hops, medium carbonation, finish that lasts forever. This is my style of beer. Thanks again for the hook up. I might need to get a couple more bottles of this for next trade. I could drink this everyday.
