Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a largish, foamy off-white head. Hazy amber body with a few black yeasties at the bottom. Good lacing. Aroma of booze, and dark fruits, caramel and apple brandy, slightly metallic with a bit of bread. Smells a bit like 2005 Fuller’s Vintage. Taste is dry, then a bit bitter, finishing metallicy. Some alcohol present too, a little bit of crisp apple halfway through. Kind of tastes monochromatic. Lively mouthfeel, but on the dryish side which feels odd for a warming beer of 8%.

Bottle from Sun Devil in Mesa, AZ ($4.99; lucky New Englanders). Amber color with a three-finger beige head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor starts malty sweet with grapefruit, moves to pine, moves to grapefruit rind - always balanced with a malt backing. Tingles my mouth.

Pours a three finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer, leaving a good lace. Nearly cloudy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight grapefruit nose. Flavor is sweet piney/grapefruit. Lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Higher ABV is hidden. $3.49 for a 22oz bottle from Cabot Quechee Store Quechee, VT. FWIW this is now only ESB squared and not ESB cubed.

Bomber. Sweet malty aroma. Amber body with good head. Sweet and somewhat soapy flavor. Good refreshing beer on the palate. Good brew.

22oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Some small floaters. Aromas of citrus, floral, toasty, and light caramel. Tastes of caramel, lighter citrus, and floral. Alcohol content overall well hidden.

Pours a hazy orange with a EPIC white head. Aroma of hops, malt, pine, caramel. Flavor is bitter hops, floral notes, spices, pine, grapefruit like bitterness. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Love the bitter hop kung fu punch that this one packs in the finish.Tied for my favorite Rock art with their vermonster.

Taste: some barley, mostly hops, very strong, master craft. 10 out of 10. Palate: high quality, sandy texture, bitter, delicious finish. 5 out of 5. Overall: It’s all about the hops. Perhaps my perfect beer. I can’t wait to have it again. It’s a favorite. It is without a doubt, one of the best values I’ve encountered. Master crafted. 20 out of 20.

(Bottle). Malty sweet aroma, and citrusy hops. Hazy orange amber color with robust off-white head. Flavor has some grapefruit and sweet malt. Also, appropriate bitterness that evolves into a long pleasant finish. While Rock Art’s reputation is not overly strong across the full range of their offerings, the Magnumus ete Tomahawkus is one of the best northern Vermont beers. (McNeills is southern Vermont.) Well done.
