bomber poured into a trappist glass has a heavy haze with an orange brown color and a good thick one finger head of white frothy head. aroma is malty sweetness, caramel, hops spice, apricot, and fresh cider. mouth feel is medium but very full plenty of carbination to push the flavors along. excellent hops to malt balance gives plenty of sweet malt with bitter and a dose of hops that is just the right level for the beer adding a spicy bite. really does drink well for an "extreme" brew.

(12oz bottle, labeled ESB2) Medium beige head atop hazy amber body, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/spicy, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, orange/spicy. Light-medium body, holds alcohol well.

Bottle shared by argo0. Moderately hazy honey yellow color. Has a clean, hoppy nose full of pine and medicinal hop oil aromas. Flavor is grassy, minty, green, with a frothy, full texture, turning more rich and chewy through the drink. Very good overall, a big, hoppy monster of an ESB, but what I like best is how clean and unblemished it is.

Sample provided by argo0. hazy pale body with a small beige head. The nose is floral and citrus hops with notes of bread and honey. The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately bitter with cotton candy, bread, flowers, grapefruit and tangerine. Medium/full body is soft with light carbonation.

12oz bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a murky, honey-golden color; decent white head with patchy, web-like lacing. Grainy aroma, showing some fruit and soft breadiness. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: slightly apple-y and citrus hoppiness; resiny and sweet; solid sugar malt core with an English hop profile (biscuity, earthy, though without any rough bitterness); pretty solid malt core and decent hoppiness. Lengthy, biscuity and slightly vegetal finish.

Pours a clear amber color with thick, foamy beige head. Aroma mostly consist of floral hops. Flavor is once again dominated by hops, but not too bitter. Slightly sweet with a dry hoppy finish.

Pours a mostly clear orange-amber body. A small, bubbly, pure white head crowns the top and shows decent retention. Delicate looking streaks of microfilm lacing coat the glass randomly. The aroma shows caramel malts, green floral and citrus hops, and a faint smokiness. The flavor mostly follows suit, with the caramel malts and citrus playing supporting roles to the green hoppy notes. The mouthfeel is medium in stature and smooth, with a relatively dry, hoppy finish. This is an interesting concoction that defies convention and refuses to be typecast. Solid effort.

Bottle: Pours a nice hazy, rusty orangey copper with a creamy tan head that becomes a wispy film. Rich aroma of both bready malts and spicy hops. Caramel soaked citrus fruits (lychee) Creamy texture, not overly carbonated, and not cloying; nice feel. Flavor is rich as well with rye bread character giving it body and a mild caramel sweetness. Orangey hints and tons of hop character toward the finish. Spicy, peppery and resiny. Smooth and balanced. A well crafted American Strong Ale.
