| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Bottle thanks to goldtwins: Pours a hazy orange gold with an off white head. Aroma, floral, citrus, lemony hop notes, with some pale malts, and a little yeasty notes. Flavor, lemons, floral hops, some citrus notes. Some bready malts, and maybe some yeast, pretty unique bitter flavors on the finish, tough to place, but I enjoyed it. WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2007 12oz via trade likely with eepiest. Pours orange with a big choppy head. The nose is light and faitn with a bit brown sugar. The taste is pretty strange, hoppiness, bitterness and a some other stuff. Can’t say its bad, its different and at the same time somewhat lacking. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 19, 2007 22 oz - Dark hazed copper, thick creamy off white head. Nose held full on tropical hop notes of mango and guava, with softer notes of toasty brown sugar and peach. Flavor hits similar notes with a tropical fruit salad hoppiness that slowly fades into more fuzzy fruit and sweet toasted caramel tones. Great hop flavor without major bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, soft bitter finish. Very well constructed... boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Pale, cloudy copper pour with weighty coagulated proteins. Stability of a creamy off-white/beige head is fantastic. The nose is loaded with fruity hops, a blend of apricot, overripe orange and mango, with pine in moderation. Also noted are adequate but restrained dry caramel malt, lactose, bittersweet chocolates and earthiness. Alcohol is modestly concealed. The flavor is very pleasant, richer malt compounding the complexity, sweetish but deftly offset by a very unique hoppy bitterness that’s mostly fruity and acidic without much astringency. Finishes mildly to moderately bitter with lingering fruit. The mouthfeel is creamy, lively and balanced. Very good and surprisingly rewarding. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Poured a golden/amber color with a small head. Nose was bready with some syrupy hints. Taste was hops, some citrus, yeasty notes, residual sweetness, nutty malt. I didn’t think this beer was very balanced. The sweetness almost seemed seperated from the hops. Didn’t love the hop profile either, maybe not my favorite type of hops. Overall, not a bad brew, but wouldn’t go out of my way to try it again. dmac (1503), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2007 22 oz bomber. Poured a orange/amber with a huge dense white head that left some nice lace on my Hennepin glass as it slowly faded. Aroma of grain and bread followed by a floral sweetness and slight fruit. Flavor starts off with grainy malts but then a citrus, I was tasting lemons, hop bitterness takes over on the aftertaste. Very nice beer and the only thing that seemed to be "extreme" about this beer is the 8% alcohol. Nihon (240), Vernon, Connecticut, USA

The color is an otherworldly bright cloudy orange. Aroma of sweet candy and beautifully aromatic hops. Flavor is piney, floral but not too bitter. Really like this brew, especially recommended for IPA fans like myself.
