Has a sweet milk chocolatey grainy bock aroma. Body starts with a subtle earthy sweetness, turning more dry and sticky with a hint of cinnamon spice toward the finish. Nice authenticity and balance. Definitely one of the better Rock Art beers I’ve had. notalush (2661), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 23, 2005 Sampled this right before I had their "barleywine" - I could hardly tell the difference between the two - both were watery and thin, with little defining flavor characteristics - a hint of caramel tried to make that "I’m a bock" statement, but it fell flat before the finish - I’ll think twice before trying anything by this brewery again. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 17, 2005 Brewtopia ’05. Clear red/ orange with a syrup aroma. Slight alcohol in the taste with some sweetness and something like "apple tartness". Alcohol never got all the way through and caramel was watered down. Lubiere (4528), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is malty with some hops and slightly sour. Flavor is not overly strong, but has some maltiness and some hop bitterness. Not as good as previous batches. - 2007 version - Poured a cloudy, dark reddish brown in color with a small off-white head that quickly faded. Aroma is sweet with roasted malts. Flavor is also sweet and malty. Only the slightest hint of hops. Much better than last year’s version. - 2006 version - Pours a quite dark reddish-brown with a thin whitish head that does not hang around. Aroma is of caramel and some fruit. Flavor is rather flat and quite watery. Not that good for a limited release. Finish is very plain. Not a good effort TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
Saveur: Aucune saveur. On a l’impression de boire un verre d’eau minérale. Aucun arrière goût. Palette: Corps léger avec une texture très mince. Faible carbonisation. Le pire produit de Rock Art que j’ai gouté à ce jour. (Rating #75) canary dog (443), Rutland, Vermont, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 14, 2004 A really bland Bock beer, culminating in a flat finish. With the exception of their Ridgerunner-- a fine ’jug’ beer-- their products are pretty mediocre.
