22oz bottle-pours a light tan head with dark amber color. Aroma is light/medium malt, sour fruit. Taste is light/medium malt, sour fruit hops. Towards medium body. Better @cellar temp, so rated it then.

Pours a dark, barely transparent mahogany with a thin, light tan head. Has a sweet milk chocolatey grainy bock aroma. Body starts with a subtle earthy sweetness, turning more dry and sticky with a hint of cinnamon spice toward the finish. Nice authenticity and balance. Definitely one of the better Rock Art beers I’ve had.

2008 bottle. Deep brown beer. Thin head. Aroma is quite herbal and woody. Toasty and sweet. A bit of light amber malt. Sweet and a little bit spicy. Herbal and a bit toasty. Very strange and slightly oxidized. Weird brew.

2006 version from trade. Pours hazy dark brownish with ruby hints. Aroma is roasty caramel malt, nuts, chocolate, nutmeg, cinnamon. Complex palate with the aforementioned flavors, getting spicier as it warms, but maintaining a solid dark roasty malt bill with backup spices.
