Poured a deeper orangish / amber colo with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toasted malts, and lightly roasty. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2007 Pours a four finger off-white head that goes slowly and leaves some lace. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Deep mahogany color. Nose is earthy. Flavor is balanced some sweetness with bitter coffee. Lingering bitter finish. Different from the usual barleywine, ABV is low for a barleywine. Don’t buy this expecting something like Mirror Mirror. As previous rater put it: "easily drinkable, yet easily forgettable". $1.75 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Aroma is sweet with malts and dark fruits. Pleasant. Flavor is caramel and chocolate, rather roasty and no hops or alcohol present. Starts off a bit wet before the tail of roasty malts. Easily drinkable, yet easily forgetable. zach8270 (2127), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is light, sweet, and malty. Lots of caramel dominate the aroma with some bready malts near the end. Flavor is almost non-existent. Light bitterness at the beginning with a very watery middle and a sour and bitter finish and a very cloying bitterness at the end.
