Oct 11, 2006 A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite a lot of hops. The flavor is sweet with a dry malty note combined with a light fruity note and a light oxidation. I’m surprised that it is not better.

Mar 30, 2008 12 fl oz bottle@fonefan/Brugmansia’s Cnudde tasting. Pours slight cloudy with a lacing white head. Mild mouldy and light malty aroma. Flavour has a mild bitter and slight malty note. Ends light and roasted malty with light barley classic flavours of wood and fruity malt flavours. Yet its quite thin bodied.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, wood, notes of smoke - peat. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. (A bit borring). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (290308)

Jul 7, 2001 Updated: Jul 16, 2003Re-rate July 17th, 2003: Orangey-medium brown; Woody, earthy aroma, slightly chalky, with a hint of smoke. Light in body for the style, but it's been that way for years. Hints of wood, toffee, whisps of smoke. Smooth and light. A strong brown ale, if anything.

Dark brown color with rocky head; creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt and milk. Good mouthfeel, caramel and roasted malt taste. The smoothness makes it easily drinkable, but not special.
