Commercial Description:
Our golden American ale has a crisp body and slighly dry, hoppy finish. This is a real treat for the beer lover. Pale, wheat and torrified wheat malts are used with Northern Brewer and Mt. Hood hops. Available in 6 packs.

Weak all around. Watery ginger ale look. Slight crsipness reminds us that this is supposed to be a beer. Whaet? Yeah I guess I can see that, but taste it ? No. Metallic?

An ok "golden ale" that may do better if it were more clear from the packaging that it is a wheat beer. Decent foamy head dissipates quickly. Color is more amber than golden. Malt and Hop notes are present but not very well integrated. Palate is a bit thin. Slightly bitter finish.

Pours a cloudy orange tea color that leaves a white head that is pretty thick. The nose is fruity, syrup, honey, citrus, pretty nice. The taste starts watery on the palate bitterness starts this brew which has a bready tartness to it. It is then followed by a weak maltiness that reminds me of bland punch. A watery fruit body is all this brew is about pretty lackluster offering from Rock Art.

23-Jan-06 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with Eyedrinkale, thanks Mike!) Bottled in August, and presumably that means 2005. Wow, this is some pretty bad stuff. Vaguely grainy, mildly bitter, minimally sweet, some hints of apples, but mostly, it just tastes like nasty cardboard. Cardboard is mostly what I smell too. Light bodied, pushing into the watery category, well-carbonated, awful aftertaste. Golden in color with pretty solid clarity. Very small, white head fades quickly to a smattering of bubbles along the edge of the glass. I usually write much more about a beer, but I really want to get this over with so I can dump it down the sink. Honesty, I think this tastes worse than your typical BMC. Brutally bad.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours golden\orange white head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Flavor is bitter, wheat, citrus, and water.

03.25.06 12oz bottle. Golden beer is hazy and full of suspended specks beneath a thin white head that quickly fades. Toffee aromas overpowering mild lemony wheat. Ashy aromas carry into flavor with some buttery notes and an unfortunate vegetal kick that reminds of lima beans. The palate is slick but dirty, like wet clay, and finishes overly effy. What a mess...this beer is not a treat.

Lightly hazed golden color with a taller creamy off white head. Some sweet aromas of wheat and white grapes. Some light floral hops. Some chalky malt and light colver honey flavors. A light "weed" bitterness. Old oranges and grapefruit seems to sneak in toward the end. Perhaps some pomegranate. Golden ale/Wheat doesn’t matter. Just another brew to put on the shelf, but that’s just my opinion.

Just o.k. Pale golden color with a bit of white lacing on the glass. Not much of an aroma (or taste for that matter). I’ll bet this is much better on tap, though (I’m not basing this on anything, really - just thought I’d mention it anyway - hope to get the chance to try it on tap sometime).
