probstk (673), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 12 fl. oz. bottle via Lubiere, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Nice golden colour, clear, a quick-fading white head.
Aroma: Pine, pepper, grass hops, slightly earthy, some apple juice, a hint of biscuit.
Palate: Medium body and carbonation.
Flav.: The hop notes follow the nose, but there is basically no malt presence which makes the beer feel unbalanced; dry with a touch of bitterness and a slightly watery finish.
The frail malts of this style (and particularly this beer) can’t support the hopping. daknole (697), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 Not so great, actually pretty damn nasty. Yellow pour, white head. Aroma of a shitty american macro lager. Flavor isnt much better either. dmac (848), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Jul 1, 2008 12 oz bottle from a variety 12 pack purchased at Spirits Red Bank. Well thank God this is my last bottle from that 12 pack and probably my last Rock Art ever. After all the other lousy beers I have had from Rock Art this one did not disappoint on it’s suckiness. Poured a clear thin watery golden yellow with a fizzy bright white head, hello generic pale lager appearance. Aroma of grapes, sweet dough and some earthy dirtness thrown in as well. Flavor is watery and weak thank God because the flavor that did come through was grass and dirt. Not much more to say about this one other then drink something else. Dacrza (159), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Jun 8, 2008 "A real treat for the beer lover." Hmm.... Pours a sallow shade of gold, mellow with constant effervescence and a crisp white head that bubbles and etches unevenly... fruity and lagerish--an American style indeed--a bit of banana and straw... thin and crisp on the tongue--lingering aftertaste that holds like a pilsner... an odd mix of wheat and malts--not offensive, yet not astounding--just ODD--not sure this could compliment food... this could transition to Miller Lite quite easily--not a compliment or a complaint, but oh well.... blklab2007 (536), Connecticut, USA Jun 2, 2008 bottle poured into a weizen has a yellow golden color and fairly hefty carbonation with a half inch head. aroma has wheat, sweet golden apple, and very faint yeast. mouth feel is weak with heavy carbonation. grains and wheat, honey like sugar sweetness, and a light bitters perhaps from hops make up the flavor. real thin with sweetness that does not match up and kills anything the wheat would offer. light lemon touches creep in mid glass.
