Commercial Description:
We're proud to present American Dream Ale, our unique West Coast IPA, in honor of American Beer Month. We picked the finest hops from Washington's Yakima Valley to give this historic pale ale a decidedly American twist. Floral, citrus and pine character burst from the Yakima hops to mix with the crisp, slightly dry malt flavor for a never bitter ale even the snobbiest limey would love.

Draft. Great head. Nice and hoppy with some body. A bit fruity. As I went on I lost some interest but overall a great brew. I would say a must try.

tap at the downtown location. cloudy tan with a good head. smells of dusty citrus hops. smooth at first with a bitter grapefruit finish. muted hops until the finish. i get bitterness without much hop flavor here. not bad, not what i expected either.

Pours a lightly hazed orange gold. Topped by half an inch or so of almost white head. Good head retention, very good thick lacing. Mild aroma suggests caramel malt and a hint of hops... But the flavor is the other way around. Tangy tangerine/lime hops, and lots of ’em. A little grapefruit pith. A little peach pit. Just enough caramel malt for a strong backbone, all the while showcasing the hops. Long bitter citrus aftertaste - almost ashy (which I like). Medium body, a little too-gentle carbonation in the growler. I didn’t notice this on tap.

a dark pee yellow color w/ a whispy head (white) and some nice lacing. Smooth well coated palate lightly creamy. Fruity aroma lightt citrus and apricots w/ some light carmels. Flavor is a light floral hop in the finish apricots and other fruits as well. Very mellow and easy to drink. I like it.

Surprising citrus hops in this guy. Very strong aroma and flavor with the hops but it lacked maltiness. Therefore, it was a little thin in body. pretty good.

On tap in Chicago: A yellow golden beer with a small head on top. The aromas are very floral with grapefruit and citrus flavors. A decent amount of hops and malt, but its in real need of a little more alcohol with them. The flavors of this beer disapear shortly after you set your glass down.

Contrary to the story Cornfield was told, I heard from my bartender that this hopped-up version of the corporate IPA was named after a winner of a charity "your-name-on-our-beer" auction. Much better version of this IPA. Huge citrus and pine notes with a well balanced caramel malt bottom. Finishes with a nice juicey citrus flourish followed by a dry alcohol twist. Good!
