sweet pine and citrus aroma,
lots of sweet tangerine flavor, light bitterness balances the sweetness but allows the hop flavor take center stage, bitterness grows but stays in its place,

Very pale gold. Big but fake-looking head (too level!) Smells nice - simcoe, strawberries, cascade, citrus. Flavour...moderate bitterness, more floral citrusy hops. Clean, slightly estery finish.

Jul 7, 2004 Updated: Jul 13, 2004(draft at District ChopHouse) Clear amber body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some pine, some caramel. Creamy, medium body. Yeah the hops are he main attraction, but the malts are what make this a very well-balanced beer.

Jul 15, 2005 On tap at the Milwaukee Location. Poured a medium and see through copper color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of citrus (oranges) and caramel. For an IPA this one had a very weak hop presence. Very lightly bitter. On the weak side for an IPA.

May 15, 2006 Charlotte NC Stingin Brits IPA-on tap-pours an offwhire head that laces with copper color. Aroma is faint malt, hops. Taste upfront is caramel malt, midtaste the hops joins in. Less hops than expected.

Aug 18, 2005 Draft... District Chophouse in D.C.... Clear amber ale with a creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The nose is citrusy and floral with notes of toffee, black pepper and pink grapefruit. Well-balanced with light bitterness. Crisp, citrusy hops with lots of rich malt. Medium-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes tangy, grassy and dry.

Aug 14, 2004 Sampled @ Portland Rock Bottom. Clear orange appearance. Even balanced bitterness with a sweet caramel and fruit malt flavor. Nose is a woody and nutty experince with a dry and hearty finish. Very nice.
