| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Pours a lightly hazed orange gold. Topped by half an inch or so of almost white head. Good head retention, very good thick lacing. Mild aroma suggests caramel malt and a hint of hops...
But the flavor is the other way around. Tangy tangerine/lime hops, and lots of ’em. A little grapefruit pith. A little peach pit. Just enough caramel malt for a strong backbone, all the while showcasing the hops. Long bitter citrus aftertaste - almost ashy (which I like). Medium body, a little too-gentle carbonation in the growler. I didn’t notice this on tap. incutrav (577), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA

I didnt expect there IPA to be this good. One of the better IPA’s i have had, might have to snag a growler before this ones gone. LtJudge (434), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Had on tap at Wisconsin State Fair. Pours a dark yellowish color with white head. AWESOME hop aroma to it.TAste was total hop domination with a hint of malt backing. Nice bitter finish. This is a wonderful IPA. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2006 Minneapolis. Pristine copper color with an ice pond sheaf of grey for the head. Sweet cottony renderings meet orange seed, tangerines and glazed peaches as the most authoritative aromatic contributors while pulp permeates the sugary grapefruit underbelly. Flavor affirms the forward momentum. Tangerines are exemplarity in a perpetual crescendo. Liquid tropical abatement. Orange honey blossom marmalade skates around the dry, piping bitterness with a backdrop of hot orange lava. Tangerines are of so serene. Medium to fuller bodied with a near oily centricity to further amplify the arid hotness of the centennial parade. Balance isn’t a term used lightly, but this hot IPA can tango with the best of ‘em. Sluicing mango and papaya hit the shrocked, 24-hour neglected tangerine rind in the finish. Touching, clean building bitterness. One of the new recipes of the new brewer, and he shows quite a lot of promise. Earlier Rating: 7/12/2005 Total Score: 3.6 Milwaukee tap. Surprisingly deep reddish bronze to in color with a jiggly, grey creamy head. Aroma is encouraging, characterized by caramel, cedar, brown sugar, rye and a predictable hop bouquet. Gentle, smooth and sweet on the intake. Hops presence resonates more in the finish with bittering elements residing on the flank of the tongue. Pine and tree basin greenery add a floral earthiness dimension. Caramel and rye malts for sweetening and its own accolades. I’m not certain this hold up to its West Coast IPA aspirations but it’s an enjoyable pale ale and summer session quaff. JLAudio (282), Crestwood, Illinois, USA

Nice head, and head retention, and nice lacing. Beautiful color. Taste is extremely up front hops prevelant. Middle palate is very nice with a good mix of malt and hop complexity. Nice, nice finish...very bitter and very fantastic. Great brew. One of the best RB brews yet! ketchepillar (491), Des Moines/Grinnell, Iowa, USA

A little malty sweetness. Aroma is great, just like opening a bag of hops, very raw, very nice. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 19, 2009 This IPA was the best of the four new beers that I sampled on my latest trip to the KoP location. The beer poured a beatiful and clear amber color with a thick off-white head. The head left a good amount of lacing around the glass. The nose was full of hops, red pepper, bread and a little hint of grass. The body was extrememly smooth and drinkable. I reallly could have sat at that bar all night and drank nothing but this beer. It makes for a great session brew. The flavors are delicious, with tons of hoppy spices, bread, a little grapefruit and a hint of earth. The finish was dry and spicy. This was a very well-done IPA. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA
