hazy amber, frothy dirty white head, light ginger aroma on some dry carmel malt, ginger flavor mixed with some lasting bitterness, a bit of dry carmel character burried under the bitter hop flavor, the ginger is nice but not overdone,

Aroma of lightly sweet and toasted malts with a touch of citrusy hops. Body starts with a nice, sugary sweetness and citrusy hoppy balance with a hint of ginger spice. Very drinkable and well-balanced with some slightly fruity notes. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2006 Cask @ Rock Bottom Atlanta: Moslty clear dark amber color with a large off white head that lasted until the beer was finished. Sweet caramel malt with a good amount of candied ginger. Smells like a ginger ale soda. The flavor starts with malt then a ginger bite. Hoppy in the middle to the finish. The ginger gives some warmth to the beer. At least I think it is from the ginger and not from alcohol. Mild bitterness on the finish. Ginger shows up again as the beer finishes. Semi-dry. Typical soft cask mouthfeel. bu11zeye (5495), Frisco, Texas, USA
