Aug 8, 2007 Pours a deep, dark brown (though not nearly opaque - much lighter than the stout) with a thin tan head. The beer’s aroma was strong with caramel, hazelnuts, and malts. The flavor had hints of bitter hops combined with lots of sweet malts with subtle flavors ranging from candied macadamia nuts to chocolate. The finish was medium in body with a residual sweetness. Overall, not bad - about the middle of the range for the sampler I ordered.

Jun 1, 2006 Draft at the brewpub. Another watery disappointment from RB Bellevue. Pours dark amber, almost brown, very little head (along with being virtually bodyless, everything tonight was virtually headless). Vanishingly light body, with just a hint of malt flavor and very little hop, even at the end.

May 9, 2004 On tap at Rock Bottom, Bellevue. Pours a reddish amber color. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, malt. Chocolatty malt flavors with a harsh mild hop finish. Okay.
