Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 12, 2006 At Bethesda location. A hazy brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and nutty, while the flavor is sweet nutty combined with hints of oranges, leading to a dry slightly bitter end. An OK flavor for a Brown Ale. argo0 (6167), Washington DC, USA Nov 2, 2003 (Bethesda) Clear red-brown body with beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, nutty. Taste is sweet, malty netty, slight peat. Medium body. Pleasant beer, but nothing special. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 18, 2006 On tap at Rock Bottom, Seattle. Brown and malty and crude. Too much malt, some fruit. Too malty, bit like vinegar. Horrible. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 3, 2006 Draught at Brewpub during RBSG DC 06 Weekend
Brownish color, light head and lacing. Nose of light tinny toffee and caramel. The flavor is a bit lotiony, some sweet malt. Eh, boring. Thin body. hopscotch (4460), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 2, 2006 Draft... Bethesda location... Deep amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Light milk chocolate and vanilla in the nose. Well balanced flavor. A touch citric and fairly bitter. Cocoa. Medium-bodied with a scathing mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Coarse, dry finish.
