Smells of oranges, sage, lots of trademark piney simcoe greatness, hints of sweet malt. Tastes of oranges, hints of bitterness, lots of rosemary and sage, lots of dry malt. Mouthfeel is full bodied. Finish yields some decent orangey hints and lasting mellow bitterness. Excellent! chicagodri (1057), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Nice hoppy aroma, with citrus notes coming through the best. Not exactly a hop bomb, but a solid beer nonetheless. Very fruity at times with a nice amount of citrus. It was almost sweet. I enjoyed it. hombrepalo (773), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2007 From the tap this poured a cloudy orange body with a small head that managed some serious lacing. The aroma is very promising, some sharp citrusy bitterness couples with tropical fruits. But the hoppy bitterness semed too evenly matched with the grainy sweet malts in the flavor. Tasty with fruit, but short on the bitternes. It also had a fairly abrupt finish, the hop flavors not staying in the mouth too long. Okay.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 15, 2007 On tap at RB - Chicago. Poured a deep, very hazy brown with a short cap of white head.. left a thorough, sticky lacing behind. Aroma was of juicy mangoes and grapefruit on top of an almost candy-like fruity sweetness.. smelled like hopped-up summer. Flavor was very juicy with pears and mangoes representin’.. higher bitterness on top of a sweet, non-descript base.. alcohol was apparent both as an accent to the juicy hops and was more overt over the rough finish. Medium-bodied and almost syrupy at times.. warm and brash alcohol at other times.. higher bitterness.. enjoyed the sweet middle and alcohol-accented hops. Just OK.
