Commercial Description:
Tapped to celebrate summer and to pair with our special ’Backyard BBQ’ menu available for a limited time, this big, malty and extremely hoppy India Pale ale was reciped and brewed by our Brewer Apprentice Bryan Shimkos. He used six different malts and 65 pounds of Simcoe and Willamette hops to create a brew the color of a sunset with the flavor of fresh Mangoes. HOP HEADS UNITE!

Growler courtesy of hombrepalo. Pours a hazy amber with a rocky white head. Smells of oranges, sage, lots of trademark piney simcoe greatness, hints of sweet malt. Tastes of oranges, hints of bitterness, lots of rosemary and sage, lots of dry malt. Mouthfeel is full bodied. Finish yields some decent orangey hints and lasting mellow bitterness. Excellent!

From the tap this poured a cloudy orange body with a small head that managed some serious lacing. The aroma is very promising, some sharp citrusy bitterness couples with tropical fruits. But the hoppy bitterness semed too evenly matched with the grainy sweet malts in the flavor. Tasty with fruit, but short on the bitternes. It also had a fairly abrupt finish, the hop flavors not staying in the mouth too long. Okay.

On tap at RB - Chicago. Poured a deep, very hazy brown with a short cap of white head.. left a thorough, sticky lacing behind. Aroma was of juicy mangoes and grapefruit on top of an almost candy-like fruity sweetness.. smelled like hopped-up summer. Flavor was very juicy with pears and mangoes representin’.. higher bitterness on top of a sweet, non-descript base.. alcohol was apparent both as an accent to the juicy hops and was more overt over the rough finish. Medium-bodied and almost syrupy at times.. warm and brash alcohol at other times.. higher bitterness.. enjoyed the sweet middle and alcohol-accented hops. Just OK.

on tap at RB chicago. pours hazy light golden with white creamy head. a huge mango hop aroma with some citrus, pine, and earth. flavors are grassy, mango, citrus, earthy, while a very bitter piney resiny hop flavor coats the palate and sticks for a long time. med body with average carbonation. not much of a malt base here making this a bit one dimensional but this is still tasty.

Pours cloudy orange to yellowish and is unfiltered and rich looking. Smell is really nice and a good departure from their regular offerings. Aromas of tropical fruitiness, peaches, and earthy hops. Taste is of light malt backing up nicely bittered tropical fruity, flavorful hops. Definitely worth a try and one of their top beers we had.

Thick gold pour with nice head. Big hoppy nose of citrus, pineapple and mango. Flavor was all simcoe up front with enough malt to make it work. I really enjoyed it all the fruit that came through in the taste. I made a second trip here just for another one.
