Pours a clear but duller orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is peachy, sweet, piney, fruity, touch of alcohol. Flavor is very bitter, sugary sweet, piney, peachy, fruity. Body is thinner and a bit watery. A nice hoppy beer but I don’t think I was really in the mood for this after 19 sours... FunkyBrewster (507), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with a medium sized creamy white head. Aroma is very fresh citrus hops, very refreshing and sweet. Lots of grapefruit and some tangerine with just a but of malt to back up the hops. Flavor is again very fresh citric and pineapple grapefruit. Gets just a bit grainy in the middle, a bit weak but not anything to get upset about. Finishes slightly bitter but pretty smooth and fruity. Medium body and a nice prickly carbonation. A very refreshing IPA, nice hop presence and perfect for the hot days. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2009 On tap at Rock Bottom Chicago. Pours murky orange with a white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is of citrus, pine, and caramel malt. The hops in this beer are more sweet than they are bitter, so this beer comes off as very juicy with a nice flavor. Lots of tropical fruit comes through as well. Backbone is of caramel malt. Lots of pine lingers after each sip. Each sip also finishes with a big hop burn. The hops really start to come through in the finish. Not bad. Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Objectively speaking:
An IPA that focuses on aromatic hops and light maltiness.
I like:
Potent orange and flowery aromas are well-defined out of the glass. Gentle, soft spicy bitterness. Good-looking with its cloudy golden robe and lasting foam.
I dislike:
A bit watery and possibly not even bitter enough (a formulation I rarely use) for all oh the malts’ insistence on occupying the background.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Cloudy, lemon-tea color, tapioca bone head. Nice fruity, grapefruity aroma, though stereotypically AIPA. Medium sweetness, pronounced grapefruit, sour, not edgy in the hops department, but there is a strong west coast hop underpinning. Long pine finish. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2008 They call it an american ipa... not sure what that means but it does remind me of a fruity APA. Pours a dark golden color with a small white head and nice lacing. Aroma is sweet hop flowers definatelly floral with a light caramel and a touch of tropical fruit. Palate was well coated and a little sticky. Flavor was outstanding. Nice smooth even bitterness from a fruity hop, I’d say some watermellon and grapefruit mixed along w/ a lightly sweet caramel back. Very nice beer. hopson (595), Williamsville, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2008 tap- chicago- very fruity, lots of mango, tropical fruits with a smooth and non-distracting bitterness. Highly enjoyable. holdenn (1444), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2008 On tap at the RB Chicago. Pours a clear copper yellow with a creamy beige head. Citrus, grapefruit, and pine in the aroma. Creamy malt and fruit flavors. Citrus, floral, pine, and grassy. The citrus light hop bitterness jumped at me at first. But it quickly became boring. This needs more hops and bitterness to make this something good.
