Hazy light copper beer topped by an off white head. Very estery aroma- hot fermentation aromas of banana and rotted peach-like muted hop notes. Fairly rounded carbonation. Starts with a decent fruity flavor at the fore- ripe peach like U.S. hybrid hop notes followed by an astringent estery character of evident hot fermentation and banana and chalky phenolics. This batch was quite off.

draught at 2009 oak park micro brew and food review. huge spicy nose. golden appearance. fluffly head recedes quick to nothing. flavor is spicy rye intermingled with fruity esters of subtle peach and general sweetness. this particular combination of spice and fruit i have never experienced before, delightful.

Beer #22 at GTMW ’09. Beautifully cloudy, golden yellow. Smell is pretty catty, probably Amarillo hops. I like that smell, though. Pretty much tastes like an IPA all the way, just a little bit of Belgian sweetness and rye spice. Slightly higher than normal alcohol taste. Carbonation matches just right to deliver maximum bitterness.

Draft at Brewpub. Pours a nice clearish gold with foamy head. Nose is distinctly phenolic with some cloves coming through, as well as apricot and a touch of spice. Taste is much the same, the Amarillos really come through and afford a nice fruity balance to the clean bitterness. Tasty stuff.

Tasted on tap at the Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival 12/6/2008. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a medium gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of spiciness. A medium bodied BSA. The malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Touch of orange peel and coriander. There is also some rye spiciness. Starts out sweet and finishes very dry. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Yellow orange color with relatively thin off white head. Smells grassy and hoppy. Tastes like a belgian IPA. Can taste some of the rye malt. Really good.

Grapefruit and slight floral aroma. Medium light ruddy gold, light foam head. A bit briny, fruit tartness with latent hop bittering. This just didn’t meld well and left an unpleasant aftertaste. Medium heavy body.

tap at Rock Fest.....poured an amber brown witha thin soapy white head.... aroma of fresh crisp citrus hops but not too fruity.... flavors of fruity citrus hops and very non-astingent/non-abrasive. somewhat sweet and very likeable.
