Nov 21, 2009 FoBAB 2009. This poured an amber body with a small white head. The aroma was boozey with some sweet fruity malt seeping out from time to time. The flavor was strong with the Bourbon but didn’t completely override the malty sweetness and apple and cherry notes. Not bad, but not one I’d repeat.

Nov 15, 2009 FoBAB. I actually prefer the regular Sticke Alt to this. It is very sweet. Pours dark reddish with a tan head. Bourbon aroma, it was a little bit of a disappointment.

Nov 13, 2009 Draft from Rock Bottom Chicago. Barrel-aged alt is certainly an interesting idea. Pours a muddy red, with a tan head atop. Aroma of bourbony biscuit, some light fruit. Flavor has light bourbon notes, atop a toast, biscuity malt flavor. Dry, with a slight cherry and bit of crisp hop. Smooth bourbon booze finish. Nice coating mouthfeel.

Nov 6, 2009 on tap at RB Chicago. pours murky auburn with small off white head. nose is loaded with butterscotch and vanilla. flavor is the same, sweet and a butterscotchy bomb.
