The aroma is nutty with tons of sweet barley and lots of English hops. Almost like oatmeal. Subtle bourbon. Rich charred oak with a nice creamy chocolate. A nice blend of English Barleywine and Stout. Clean full palate with a long lasting non-sticky finish. tjthresh (1781), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Taste was more chocolate and caramel, with a nice balancing bitterness on the end. I like the "pissed off candy bar" description. Describes it to the tee. drewbeerme (2315), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Smelled of bourbon, vanilla, dark fruits, and chocolate cake. Full bodied and slightly sweet. Big malt bill with toffee and light roasty bitterness that peaked through the sugars. Vanilla and bourbon flavors imparted by the barrel were also present. Good beer. chicagodri (1074), Chicago, Illinois, USA
