Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA Apr 25, 2008 Guinness-like in appearance and flavor with just a bit more roastiness. I guess that’s a compliment tastes like light milk-chocolate water.
chicagodri (419), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 13, 2008 I thought this was a decent dry stout. Pours black with a tan head. Easy to drink, smooth and creamy stout. It has a little bit of coffee and maybe some chocolate in there also. A little thin, but I thought it was a decent brew. Aurelius (2443), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Apr 12, 2008 Loose, bubbly tan head. Pitch black and opaque. Mild balanced roast aroma. Bourbony, slightly roasty, dry. Thin and watery. Neutered. Cornfield (4245), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Apr 7, 2008 Nitro-pull at the brewpub: The body’s a dark enough brown to look black under all but the brightest light. The nitro infused tan head is smooth and creamy, off course. The aroma is full of roasted barley blended with scents of coffee, charred nuts, and a hit of hoppy bitterness. Almost too smooth and creamy in the mouth. Some bittersweet chocolate is added to the flavor and the hopped up bitterness intensifies as you drink. Dry finish. Pretty decent.
