kyzr (909), Bozeman, Montana, USA May 23, 2008 Clear gold with small white head. Minor nose of hops and a touch of malt. Flavor was pretty weak with hops, sweet malt took over the flavor and left it flat. Just a touch of bitterness on the finish.
MIBRomeo (1883), Wisconsin, USA Aug 7, 2008 Light yellow color w/ a fluffy white head, little lacing. Not sure what the style really is, doesn’t smell like a blonde.. more stale malt some cereal.. avg pal at best. Flavor was not worth finishing. Stale cereal taste w/ a hint of grass and a tiny yeast peppering. Glouglouburp (1916), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 21, 2008 In short: A bland Golden Ale calling itself a American style Pale Ale
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear dark yellow body wit a small white head
In long: Light honeyed cereals and some spicy hops. Thin body, no caramel, forget about citrusy notes or whatever. This is more a boring Golden Ale than a Pale Ale to me. Fruity notes limited to a lemon hint. Lasting retention. The aroma is citrusy with lots of pale and medium roast malts. Light to medium-bodied and smooth with deflated carbonation. Leans a touch on the sweet side of balance with generous helpings of caramel and other medium-roast malts followed by mild hop bitterness. Sweet finish with delicate citrus. pint_size (1004), Austin, Texas, USA May 4, 2008 4-23-08 tap
Clear gold in color. Smell is subtle sweetness. Taste is really light - hard to pick up any flavor really aside from a really subtle metallic soapy flavor with a doughy character too.
