Nose is pungent with resiny, slightly catty notes. Not much malt in the nose. On taste, not super bitter and pleasantly citrusy with huge resiny notes and some spice. Some of the biscuity notes of malt prop it up. This is easily my favorite IPA that Pete has done. Excellent. FunkyBrewster (494), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma is very citric, hop resiny with a pronounced grapefruit and pine character. Flavor is a very fresh and juicy burst of citrus and piney hop oils. Never gets overwhelmingly bitter as the citrus takes center stage and lingers through the finish. Nice creamy medium body and softer carbonation. Really fresh and zesty IPA chicagodri (1060), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Strong citrus aroma...a ton of grapefruit, orange. I’m glad someone pays for the Line Drive Light here, because this beer was not cheap to brew. Great flavor, grapefruit dominates. Damn fine IPA. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate earthy and sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft citrus. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration.
Very good brew that I would recommend to a freind. drewbeerme (2291), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2009 on tap at RB chicago. the beer pours murky peach colored with white head. nose is bursting with grapefruit, orange citrus, and pine while it all continues in the flavor just a behemoth loaded with grapefruit notes and piney finish. Pete continues to impress with being extremely heavy with his hop usage in his IPAs. good work!
