Fuzzy orange yellow with thin little head. Smell is sweet lemons, oranges, and bananas - but is light overall. Very subtle watery flavor. Weak palate - but fits with the flavor and smell.
Glouglouburp (1872), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 21, 2008 In short: A typical bu thinner and less flavourful Hefe than average. Very bland.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear yellow body with a long-lasting white head
In long: Body is too thin, Some wheat/hay but not enough. Very light banana flavour. Almost no tartness. Soft carbonation. Some dry grass in the finish almost saves the day but it’s too little too late, this is a very bland beer. And to think that the night before I was served one of the best hefe ever at Piece Brewery just a few miles up. This one is as memorable as a hockey game on tv… when your team is not playing, and you don’t like hockey, and you’re sitting back to the tv and the tv is turned off.
hopscotch (4379), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 21, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Cloudy, straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The nose is comprised of smoke, overripe banana and clove along with only a rumor of some sort of mint. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and dancing carbonation. Sweet, fruity and spicy… lightly tangy. Finishes spicy, fruity and sweet. lb4lb (1267), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 28, 2008 Pours a cloudy unfiltered, nice looking orange color. Smell is wheat, banana, and clove. Taste is wheaty with banana and yeasty flavors. Just a light spiced, clovey flavor. Bit of a thin body and flavor, but perfectly drinkable still. chicagodri (419), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 13, 2008 Not an amazing beer but rather enjoyable. Pours a hazy blond with a thin head. Nice aroma of banana. The flavor is heavy on banana with a little lemon and some clove in there as well. Not too shabby.
