Aug 1, 2008 Snifter @ Rock Bottom Cincinnati. Pours a deep ruby red color with a small off white head. The aroma is heavy moderately sweet malt, some fruit, and something that seems a bit off. The flavor is again heavy on the moderately sweet malt, vanilla, apricots, raisins, and alcohol heat. The mouthfeel is good, sticky, and viscous. It is just a little one dimensional to rate much higher.

Dec 20, 2007 Pours a ruby and light brown in color. Very nice inch of head. Smell is all malt. This is more like an English Old Ale. There are no sign of hops at all. Huge in the mouthfeel and the ABV. Decent but not lacking in complexity.

Aug 17, 2005 Snifter at Rock Bottom Cincinnati. Dark ruby color with small off-white head that diminished quickly. Good aroma of fruit and alcohol. Medium body with smooth texture. Full flavor of cherry, raisins and dates with a long smooth small alcohol bite finish. Very nice bonus to find this brew here, but the brewmaster, Ken Akins, just transfered to a new location in Indy, so this will not be here long.
