Apr 27, 2006 Dark walnut. Thin, tiny-bubbled film of mocha foam. A pretty decent malty stout on it’s own, and the addition of oak means there are two big tastes competing to see who is in charge. The oak ends up being bigger, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. A bit less oak would make it more interesting, and taste less like a whiskey barrel. Not quite flat, but not a lot of carbonation going on.
