illinismitty (1407), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 8, 2007 Draft at Cincinnati with Shigadeyo. Nitro induced, which I think works well with this beer. Pours black with a creamy tan head, moderate lacing. The aroma is packed full of vanilla bean. Soft carbonation and very creamy texture. Flavor was sweet, with flavors of milk chocolate and vanilla that muted most of the bitterness or roast. I did not pick up any mint, maybe because I had a slight cold. Still this is very easy to drink and enjoyable. shigadeyo (1369), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA Mar 6, 2007 3/06/2007 at Rock Bottom Cincinnati with illinismitty. Nitrogen induced draught... Rock Bottom Vanilla Mint Milk Stout is black in color and has a lasting, dense, creamy, tan head that leaves some lacing on the glass. The aroma is vanilla, chocolate, and a very subtle hint of mint (only noticeable on the first pass). Vanilla and creamy milk chocolate comprise the wonderfully rich flavor. I also detected a faint hint of mint in the flavor on the first taste, but then it seems to get lost amongst the other flavors. This beer is nitrogen induced, so it is extremely creamy and smooth on the palate. Full bodied, but not too heavy (just right). This was a prime example of what an excellent milk stout. I was very impressed and satisfied with this beer. I would love to drink more of this and might have to go back and get a growler of it...
