beastiefan2k (1120), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Mar 1, 2008 The beer pours lightly hazy golden and also has a sticky head. Aroma is thick dry wheat with a airy breeze. Taste is surprising because it starts with a strong bitterness followed by a scratchy grainy aspect. Has a short bitter aftertaste. Leaves a perfectly non-sissy wheat flavor that is not overpowering either. Sampler at Denver International Airport location. KAggie97 (1918), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 30, 2005 Bottle. Pours a deep gold with a fading head but nice lacing. Aroma is very tart and citrusy, with only a slight banana sweetness. Flavor is apple and banana, with hints of orange in the finish. Hints of raspberry as it warms. Not your typical wheat, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. heemer77 (3771), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jul 15, 2008 On tap at Rock Bottom DIA. The body was hazy gold with a white colored head. The aorma was oranges with some clove. The taste was bread crust with some clove. There was also a little bit of fruit, possibly orange zest. Cybercat (421), Georgia, USA Jul 1, 2008 This hefeweizen pours an opaque golden so it looks rather like honey. Aroma is average strength, wheaty with a hint of orange. Flavor is strong and wheaty and has undertones of orange and banana. Texture is smooth and satisfying. Refreshing after a hot day. Kevin (1765), Colorado, USA Jul 17, 2007 on tap while watching the cubs manage to pull a win out of their ass. very murky pour with a nice white pocked head. yeasty clean scent that was a little sweet. main thing i recieved in the first taste was sweetness. there is a strong honey note throughout this. not much spice to speak of, a bit bland, but i can see how this wiould appeal to a lot of folks. reminded me of a sunshine with a dollop of honey.
