Draught at Colorado Springs. Pours a hazy mahagony with a large tan creamy and fizzy head, lasting, good spotty lacing. Aroma is roasted malt (nutty, caramel, cookie), average hops (floral, pine, perfume), average yeast (warm dough), with notes of brown sugar, chocolate and alcohol. Medium sweetness, heavy acidity, harsh bitterness, malty creamy roasted caramel nutty flavor, alcohol and hops. Full bodied, creamy yet spicy and fizzy, alcohol texture.

Draft, 2007 version. Dark gold/light red body with a ¼ inch foamy head. Nose-unsweet honey, brown sugar, maple and brown sugar oatmeal, amber liquid malt extract. Taste-light sawdust, tea, light sausage spice, medium sweet malts, sticky, medium CO2, Dr. Pepper, apple, cherry cough syrup, corn on the backend. Overall a very enjoyable average English/American hybrid barleywine.

Tried when in town for GABF 2004. Dark red/brown with a medium-sized head that was mostly diminishing. Aroma: brown sugar, alcohol, dark rum. Lots of malts in the flavor, very syrupy and full of molasses. Sugary sweet, bordering on cloying. Alcohol is very prevalent in flavor. Needs mellowing.

a mellow brown w/ red hughes visable carb and small white head w/ good lacing. Smells lots of fresh citrus hop and a hint of alchol oak, and carmel. Palate is rich & creamy lightly carbonated. Flavor is a very sweete rich carmel with light toffee notes and a dry oaky bitter finish. Pretty good stuff.. the alchol shows threw a bit though. Sampled at Rock Bottom Denver during GABF

Tap at Denver. Jan 2005 vintage. The beer pours to a caramel/amber body with a dense thin white head. The aroma is sweet graham crackers with light English hops. The beer seemed to be well blended. Rich and malty graham cracker with nice English hops in the flavor. Very malty palate, excellent texture.
