Commercial Description:
India pale ale, copper-colored and rich in character. Floral hop aromas supported by a toasty malt profile balance this eclectic favorite. Editor's Note: This is one of Rock Bottom's standard brews and is available at several locations.

Tasted at the Cincinnati location. Dark orange/amber color with a medium thin off-white head. Very thin lacing. Strong hops aroma, with a little citrus as well. Rather rich with an aggressively bitter hops flavor and a tart finish. One of Rock Bottom's better beers.

Chicago location. I’m putting this rating here since it’s the only other RB IPA with a rating that mentions Chicago. At the RB, it’s just one of the Brewmaster’s Specials, with a note on a chalkboard that it runs 80 IBUs. Light but enduring lacy head atop an amber that looks just a shade off. Hop bitterness makes a beeline for the bitter sensors of your tongue. Matly taste just manages to make itself felt. I only to notice the grapefruit/citrusy aspect a few minutes after a swallow. It gives you a nice hoppy belch afterward.

Tap at Boston location. A textbook example of how malts and hops should NOT go together. Carmelized aroma/flavor with some nice sweetness but it was like a pale ale with double the malt and nothing to compensate for it. Not an IPA by any measure.

On tap in King of Prussia,PA. Maybe it was just this batch, but it was overly bitter and very one-dimensional.

Cloudy pale amber, small head. Full, in your face fruity, hoppy aroma, very fresh tasting, full of malt with excellent mouthfilling body.

Cambridge, MA location. Orangy color with a citrusey/piney smell. The hoppy flavor was nice.
