Feb 27, 2006 Tap. Aroma had a real good vanilla and clove presence. Banana was also detectable. Darker shade of yellow with white head. No lemon seved with this one. Had good flavors of banana, bubblegum and some lime and lemon. Good refreshing beer.

Jan 27, 2006 El Hefe pours to a hazy deep golden color with a vibrant carbonation and a thick and creamy white head. The nose on this beer is loaded with aromas of banana, clove, estery fruit and tart wheat character. The palate is firm with lots of wheaty malt flavor paired with estery flavors of pear and spicy clove. El Hefe ends with more tart wheat, and estery fruit up front, and ends with some nice spicy clove and banana yeasty flavor that lingers.
This is a very authentic, very delicious, very drinkable domestic version of Bavarian Hefeweizen from a very capable brewpub chain that knows how to brew great beer. This beer is perfect for a hot climate such as Arizona, and El Hefe makes for a local favorite. Look for this beer at the Rock Bottom Scottsdale location, or other local Rock Bottom locations.

Aug 25, 2005 Big banana ester and yeas aroma. Looks like orange juice - hazy opaque orange-yellow. Acidic, tangy, citrus even without the lemon. Good mouth. Acidic, grainy medium quick finish. Banana taffee carbonation. Pretty decent.

Apr 8, 2003 Updated: Jan 10, 2004Scottsdale: Pours a cloudy yellow with a citrus aroma. Body is mellow and smooth with decent malt balance and a little spice. This was the best of the beers I had tried at RB Scottsdale.

Nov 4, 2009 Scottsdale. Cloudy yellow. Aroma has lots of banana, yeast, cloves and bublegum. Flavor is smooth and sweet with yeast and spices. I enjoyed this.

Aug 31, 2003 Cloudy yellow with spicy, citrus aroma. Surprising amount of up front flavor for a Rock Bottom beer. Lots of banana and clove, along with a good silky wheat malt mouthfeel.
