On tap @ Rock Bottom Westminster poured a clea rreddish copper with a lasting amber head. Aromas of sweet malt, carmel, light citrus and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of sweet malt, light citrus, light spice and a hint of chocolate with a smooth yet crisp finish.

Draught, Rock Bottom Westminster. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), lightly hoppy (grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation.

Clear amber body, soapy white head. Apple yeast aorma with a pale malt backing. Caramelly flavor with light orange citrus hopping and a dry honey grahm cracker backing. Medium mouthfeel, dryish finish. Mug at the Milwaukee location.

Sample at the brewery in Westminster. Pours a clear, medium copper-brown color with a small, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma is malty and sweet with a light note of toasted grain and moderate notes of cookie and caramel; hoppy with a trace of resin/pine; pretty, moderate notes of mellon, peach and honey. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with a long, moderately bittersweet, husky finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.

Draught in Colorado Springs. Pours bronze with a medium frothy light tan head and spotty lacing. Aroma is malt (roasted grain, meal, cereal) and a slight fruity sour hop. Medium tartness, bitter and acidic start, low sweet maltiness, finish is hoppy with faint citrus. Medium bodied and fizzy, refreshing palate.

On tap at Rock Bottom in Bethesda, MD. The chalkboard said this was an ESB. Pours a slightly hazy cherry red with a thin, creamy French vanilla-colored head. A good bit of caramel and toasty malts in the aroma along with some indistinct, though bitter hops. Creamy, medium body. Predominantly toasty, caramelized malts in the taste. Finishes with some drying, bitter hops and just a bit of spiciness. The dryness lingers. This isn’t an ESB? Sure tastes like one. Solid stuff.

Thick creamy head , looks a bit onfiltered. Dark reddish colour with some brown mixed in. Very sweet with some carmelized malt. Gentle finish of hops rounds this beer out.

On tap at Rock Bottom Chicago. Amber red pour with a decent white head. Aromas are of the caramelized malts, which are pleasantly shrouded by the piney hoppiness. Texture is a bit thin, but the hops provide a pleasant cleansing of my tongue. I am glad I had this beer, but more because of its charitable contribution than for its tasting experience.
