A very fine beer. Deep mocha in color, with strong mocha/coffee notes mingling with chocolate malts, roasted nuts, and a pleasntly warming alcohol flavor coming through.

On tap (nitrogen propelled) at the Pittsburgh location in Homestead. Nice roasty aroma, beautiful rolling nitrogen look with a creamy tan head. No carbonation, just like any other nitro beer. Very dark coffee flavors, Quite strong and bitter. Yes, as oppressive as an imp stout should be. Something like Founders Breakfast. Bitter coffee finish Better try this at the Pgh location if you like impy stout.

On tap at the Lucky Lab big beer fest. Excellent stout, very rich chocolate and coffee flavor with a big bold roastiness. Smooth on the palate with coffee notes trailing off in the finish.

Not bad for a chain brew, this was black with the usual tan head, malty aroma, and roasty flavors, and a very slight hop flavor.

Wow, after reading the other two ratings i wonder if i had the same beer. Great dark color, but thats it. Quite weak, watery mouthfeel, light hop finish, with a touch of sweet malt. Mostly just watery.

Deep charcoal. Frothy foam. Mocha laden aroma, with undertones of baker's chocolate, light caramel, and leafy hops. Velvety palate. Flavors of cardboard, acidity, roasted malt, mocha, and a long bitter charcoal finish. Lacking in mouthfeel, but quite full of flavor.

A decent imperial from a chain brewery. It had a nice flavor, with light touches of malt and hops. Probably one of the better beers they have... there is hope.
