Nov 26, 2008 I’m surprised to hear this is a bitter, because it seemed much more like an amber upon tasting. Anyway, not bad as an amber...confusing as a bitter.

Jun 25, 2008 This draft brew from the College Park location in Indianapolis, IN poured a frothy head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a orange red soft carbonated transparent body and a good lacing. The aroma was non-existant. The mouth feel was mellow at the start and mildly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild hops and a slight red malty note.

May 1, 2008 Draft at College Park location.Small ivory head that fully lasted, excellent lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and a reddish brown-orange hue. Nose was malty, mildly hoppy and citrus. Ditto for the flavor along with some bitterness.Smooth mouthfeel and medium in body.Quaffable, easy to drink brew.Just so-so for the style.

Apr 30, 2008 Out of the sampler at the College Park pub. Copper color with a foamy khaki colored head. Light grainy nose. Caramel sweetness, raw grains, and some chalk in the finish. The bitterness tends toward grapefruit rind.

Feb 18, 2006 On cask at Indy College Park RB. Huge distinct creamy head that is built by a rising cloud of foam and hangs around for a long time. A cloudy brownish orange sits below the head. A slightly roasty malt character and other smooth malt aromas are present. The flavor is a similarly roastey malt and it’s definately a smooth drinking beer. It’s got a hint of hops and is really creamy on the finish but it also gets a bit thin and slightly buttery.

Slightly cloudy, redish color with thin head. Standard carmel and slightly roasted malt aroma. Modest sweetness and noticable hop bitterness. Decent nutty flavor and clean crisp finish. It was served ice cold, should have been a little warmer.

Jun 29, 2005 Translucent orange / copper in color with a thin grey head. Has the traditional ESB aroma of hay, sour mash, wheat fields and apple butter. Flavor hits with caramel and straight-up roasted pecans. This is one nutty ESB. Palate feel is thicker than usual. Some acidity in the finish, but this is a nice session ale.
