Pint on handpull, at KOP brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy dark brown body with a one finger creamy brown head. A slightly lactic sour note on the nose with dry roast, just a hint of bourbon, and minimal vanilla. The flavor is quite lactic with a very subtle smooth bourbon finish. Zero alcohol taste, maybe a bit thin as far as the base beer goes, but maybe I’m just used to bourbon barrel Imperial Stouts. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with a nice smooth cask softness, thinning out on the finish. OK overall, and easy drinking for a bourbon beer, just a little weak. Most certainly aged on bourbon chips, nowhere near enough barrel influence to be barrel aged.
