Poured deep amber/copper in color with a small, tan head that diminished but lasted as a film on top of the beer. Lightly cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Lightly to medium sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Tastes of caramel, dark ripe fruits, resin, light hops, light malts, and a hint of pine. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter, malt, light caramel, and resin finish is dry. 10%ABV is totally hidden. Served way too cold. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada

Flavor is malt-dominant with lots of sugar and dark fruit. Pretty good, but I’m hoping the barrel aged one is a real winner. joeymacaroni (228), Wagontown, Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet fruity aroma with notes of sugar and cherries. Some citrus hop comes through the malt. Thick sweet malty flavor. Seems to be English style which is my favorite. Nice warmth in the chest. Aroma of cocoa, dried fruits, tons of malt, toffee and caramel, with light citrus hops, and a bit of oxidation as well. Taste of more malts, caramel, toffee, dark fruits, light citrus, with some tangerine, cocoa, with a low hop profile, and faint alcohol. Very low carbonation.
