| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Appeared typical of a dry stout, which I acutually assumed it was before I was told it was an oatmeal stout. Basically ash black with a thin tan head. Nose was slightly maple, lactic, roasty, but not very intense or what I’d expect from an oatmeal stout. Flavor was slightly roasty sweet, oak, somewhat fruity malt. It had a pretty weak body compared to most which is again why I assumed dry stout, but on the other hand if you don’t want anything heavy this is for you. Overall nothing special. michael-pollack (2711), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Tastes of chocolate, cream, and roasted malts. Medium body. Chalky texture. Cask carbonation. Chocolate and cream finish. hopdog (5606), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2009 On tap at the brewpub... pitch black color with an amazingly creamy light brown head that lasts a long time. Aroma was nice, but not strongly inviting. Lots of roasted malts and a light oatmeal aroma. Flavor was similar but a little more coffee was coming through. Pretty thin and watery for a stout, but still smooth. This was my first Rock Bottom brew and I was pleasantly surprised! I’ll be going back. DSG (1514), Tel Aviv, Israel
