May 17, 2008 Sample at Desert Ridge location. Pours a light yellow with a snow white head. Nose is light malts, grain and grass. Palate is grain and sweet corn, with a faint hop finish. Decent lacing. Pretty boring.

Mar 16, 2008 Draft in Boston. Drank with a sample with their other beers. It might not have been bad for a pale lager, but it was not that good compared to the other beers (which weren’t very good either. A little watery, but some malt flavor is detectable.

Mar 2, 2008 Draft at King of Prussia. Pours pale golden with a dissipating white head. Flavor is typical for a pale lager, corny and sweet with very little hops. Obviously brewed to please the BMC drinkers. That’s fine. I would do it too if I owned a brewpub

Feb 26, 2008 (Draft, Rock Bottom, Boston) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small egg-white head. Aroma of grain, corn, and cereal. Flavor of toasted malt, grassy hops, and light citrus. Much better than I anticipated.

Feb 1, 2008 A refreshing but wholly uncomplicated beer. A little hoppy, a little wheat, and not much else. A decent light beer, but that’s something of an oxymoron, isn’t it?

Oct 24, 2007 Rock Bottom Dream Catcher Light Lager from Scottsdale location. Ok, the brewer at the Scottsdale location apparently knows how to make a pale lager because this was the second best beer they had and I drank it down really easily. It’s fresh as of 3 days before sampling. Pours to a thin, pale golden body with no head. The aroma is a very nice Hallertau hop with a light pale malt. Crisp hop aroma. The flavor is clean noble hops with a touch of spicy Hallertau. Like a nice Pilsener without the Saaz. Very clean and no flaws. The palate is light, refreshing, and finishes extremely clean.

Jul 16, 2007 On tap (sampler) at the Bethesda location, July 2006. Pretty much what you’d expect really. I know that most brewpubs feel the need to make a "light" beer or two but they are usually pretty uninspiring creations. This one is no exception, although there are vague suggestions of dry malt and grassy hop here, which means it is better than most. Pretty clean, if thin, mouthfeel. Pale straw colour. Next please.
