Pours a clear dark copper colored brew with an average sized beige head that quickly dissipates to a thin off-white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some fruity notes, floral hops and a touch of passion fruit. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel malt, citrus and floral hops. Finish has a sharp bitterness at first then a semi-dry malt aftertaste that quickly disappears. Ughsmash (4095), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 23, 2008 On tap at RB – Milwaukee. Poured murky medium brown with a short-lived cap of off-white head. The aroma was sweet with caramel and nutty notes supporting some grassy and pine hoppage. The flavor was sweet overall with a poor contrast between the pine bitterness and candied caramel sweetness.. ugly bitterness rounded out the finish. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. dry at the edges.. raw bitterness and some alcohol on the finish. Not so good.
